Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed evaluations to assess individuals’ trauma histories, developing tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs.

• Create and implement individualized therapy programs focused on trauma healing and enhancing resilience in clients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote mental wellness.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals to provide integrated and seamless treatment for clients.
\n
• Deliver crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, employing best practices to ensure client safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping techniques, and available community resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in accordance with ethical standards and legal regulations.

• Actively participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of continuous professional development.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, continually enhancing your skills and knowledge to improve patient care outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, seeking specialized trauma care. This population often faces unique challenges, including gender dysphoria, societal stigma, and adverse experiences related to their identity. Your role will involve building trusting relationships with clients to empower them on their journey to recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or psychologist required.
\n
• While 2 years of post-licensure experience in trauma-focused therapy is preferred, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed therapy methodologies.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, paired with the ability to maintain a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Capacity to remain calm and supportive in high-stress situations, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and various software applications used in mental health practice.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.
