Key Responsibilities\n

The primary responsibilities of the Licensed Mental Health Counselor include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history and develop effective treatment plans tailored to their needs.

• Crafting individualized treatment strategies that promote trauma recovery, resilience-building, and long-term well-being.
\n
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing traumatic experiences and developing adaptive coping mechanisms.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to provide integrated and holistic care for our patients.

• Offering crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and compassionate responses to patient needs.

• Providing educational resources for patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping strategies, and available support resources.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of patient information.

• Participating in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and enhance treatment approaches based on best practices.

• Engaging in continuous professional development, remaining current on research and advancements in trauma therapy methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be supporting individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and associated dissociative disorders. Our clients come from various backgrounds, bringing unique narratives that require a tailored and compassionate approach to mental health therapy.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, preferably with a focus on trauma.
