In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to work remotely while also supporting clients in our outpatient office setting located in Joliet, Illinois. As an LMFT at Flourish Counsel Connect, you will primarily work remotely, allowing for flexibility and an improved work-life balance. However, you may also engage with clients at our outpatient office in Joliet when necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

• Develop strong, trusting relationships with clients to create a safe and supportive atmosphere for therapy.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients’ mental health conditions and overall needs accurately.
\n
• Create tailored treatment plans that align with patients' unique circumstances and therapeutic goals, ensuring the best possible outcomes.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing effective therapeutic techniques to guide discussions and interventions.

• Monitor and evaluate clients' progress through regular follow-up appointments, revising treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.

• Utilize documented progress notes and treatment updates to maintain comprehensive records that comply with industry standards.

• Provide referrals to other mental health specialists when appropriate, ensuring that patients receive well-rounded care tailored to their needs.

• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and collaborate with peers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In your role, you will work with a diverse group of clients facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, grief, and substance abuse disorders. Your experience and skill set will allow you to assess and treat individuals, couples, and families in various life circumstances, empowering them to overcome obstacles and achieve their mental health goals.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Strong therapeutic and counseling skills with an emphasis on motivating clients to achieve their therapeutic goals.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in addiction counseling and a comprehensive understanding of evidence-based practices for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

• Previous work in a mental health facility or similar environment where you have developed effective strategies for engaging clients and fostering their personal growth.

• Experience with telehealth technologies and remote counseling methodologies is an asset.
