Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, reviewing their medical history, performing relevant assessments, and documenting findings to inform treatment strategies.
• Develop and communicate treatment plans that reflect patient goals, adapting methodologies as necessary based on individual progress and feedback.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to the patient's condition, leveraging innovative therapeutic modalities to promote recovery.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and their families, explaining diagnosis and treatment progress, and encouraging their active participation in therapy goals.
• Assess and document ongoing changes in patients' conditions, recommending necessary modifications to treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation of all patient interactions, including initial evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Participate in community outreach activities to promote health and wellness while also engaging in departmental initiatives aimed at improving patient access and experiences.
• Take an active role in continuing education to enhance your own skill set while serving as a mentor and clinical instructor to students and new hires.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries (such as joint replacements and repairs), sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. By using individualized treatment plans and patient-centered care, you will directly contribute to enhancing each patient's functional abilities and everyday living.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Preferred Experience
