Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients to understand their physical capabilities, limitations, and needs, setting clear treatment goals aligned with physician directives.

• Design and implement personalized treatment programs that utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions to facilitate recovery.

• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care activities, including evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, employing relevant professional terminology.

• Supervise and provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support staff, ensuring high standards of care and adherence to treatment goals.

• Interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare professionals including orthopedic doctors, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to customize patient care pathways.

• Analyze the effectiveness of applied therapeutic interventions, adjusting treatment plans accordingly based on patient progress and outcomes.

• Help maintain productivity standards set by the Director and contribute positively to the professional development environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients encompassing various ages and physical conditions, from post-operative recovery to chronic pain management. Your role is crucial in understanding the unique needs of each patient to ensure tailored interventions that significantly improve their physical health and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida is mandatory.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Proficiency in computer applications and documentation systems used for patient management is required.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
