Rehab PTA - Full Time

Position Overview Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Cape Coral, Florida. As a PTA, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care, implementing therapeutic treatment plans, and supporting patients in their recovery journeys. This full-time position requires a strong commitment to patient-centered therapy and teamwork.

Our facility offers a variety of specialized services, including Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Neurological Rehabilitation, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Pediatric Rehabilitation, Sports Rehabilitation, and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation. This position is based onsite at our hospital facility in Cape Coral, Florida. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs. The hospital environment is dynamic and collaborative, allowing for teamwork with various healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans geared towards improving patient mobility, strength, and overall physical function.

Guide patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises and activities, such as stretches and functional movements, aimed at alleviating pain and enhancing physical well-being.

Provide education on effective body mechanics, exercise techniques, and tailored home exercise programs to facilitate successful recovery beyond therapy sessions.

Administer therapeutic modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the Physical Therapist's guidance, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Monitor and document patient progress, diligently tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functional status, while aligning with treatment goals.

Prepare treatment areas and maintain organization of equipment and supplies, ensuring everything is ready for therapy sessions for maximum efficiency.

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to create cohesive and coordinated patient care plans.

Provide emotional and motivational support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes healing and confidence.

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population with varied rehabilitation needs including orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, geriatric concerns, and post-surgical recovery. As a PTA, you will adapt your therapeutic approaches to meet the unique requirements of each patient, ensuring a customized care experience that aligns with their individual rehabilitation goals.

A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field from an accredited program.

Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

In-depth understanding of anatomy, physiology, and various physical therapy treatment methodologies.

Proven proficiency in implementing therapeutic exercises and treatments under supervision.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and healthcare providers.

Commitment to ongoing professional growth and staying informed about advances in physical therapy practices.

Relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred, where you have applied your skills in a clinical environment. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and experience with therapeutic modalities can be an asset in this role.

This full-time position offers an annual salary between $50,000 and $65,000, commensurate with experience.
