Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the physical capabilities and functional limitations of orthopedic patients, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy interventions aimed at improving muscle function, alleviating pain, and preventing disability.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to the established care plans and facilitating continuous improvement in therapy techniques.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, modalities, traction, and manual therapy techniques to promote recovery and improve client outcomes.
• Assess patients' home environments to recommend modifications that enhance safety and independence, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with organizational policies and Medicare guidelines.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and refine treatment goals collaboratively.
• Educate patients and their families on physical therapy devices, exercise protocols, and self-management strategies.
• Document and report any significant changes in patient conditions to physicians and case managers to adjust treatment strategies as needed.
• Stay current with the latest research and evidence-based practices in orthopedic physical therapy to enhance your clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on orthopedic patients experiencing musculoskeletal conditions such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and arthritis. You will work closely with clients of all ages, emphasizing rehabilitation goals that restore mobility, improve strength, and enhance overall functional ability. A deep understanding of orthopedic anatomy and rehabilitation protocols will be essential in tailoring interventions that meet the diverse needs of our patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred).
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience, particularly in orthopedic settings.
• Current CPR certification required.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Proven ability to commit to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to assist in documentation accuracy.
• Background in manual therapy techniques and functional movement assessments.
• Familiarity with community resources for patient referrals and follow-up care.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
