Next Step Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Immokalee, Florida. Work Environment

This position is onsite, providing direct services within clients' homes throughout Immokalee and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Next Step Physical Therapy, you will:

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and enhancing mobility and function.
• Evaluate each client's physical capabilities through comprehensive assessments that may include muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities testing.
• Oversee the work of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the accurate execution of treatment protocols and contributing to client care continuity.
• Assess and make recommendations regarding the client's home environment to better facilitate rehabilitation and independence.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, exercise regimens, and the application of physical modalities like traction and massage.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on client progress, documenting changes in condition and response to therapy meticulously.
• Contribute actively to the interdisciplinary team by participating in case conferences and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
• Educate clients and their families on rehabilitation practices and the use of therapeutic equipment.
• Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including maintaining accurate clinical records and submitting documentation timely according to company policies.
• Complete an onsite functional assessment and participate in the ongoing evaluation of community resources to support your clients' holistic needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will engage primarily with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and other musculoskeletal disorders. With an emphasis on elderly clients, you will work closely with patients to maximize their physical capabilities and enhance their independence within their home environments. Your efforts will directly contribute to better health outcomes and improved quality of life for each individual you work with.

Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with electronic health records and scheduling platforms.
• A high degree of flexibility and the ability to adapt to varied patient needs and clinical scenarios.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are preferred:

• At least two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy, with an emphasis on home care settings.

• A background in geriatric care or rehabilitation education.

Compensation and Benefits
