Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the outpatient physical therapy clinic by managing patient flow, coordinating schedules, and ensuring compliance with relevant health care regulations and company policies.
• Thoroughly evaluate patients by conducting comprehensive assessments, which include establishing a clinical diagnosis and determining appropriate treatment goals based on evidence-based practice.
• Document all evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in records.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that effectively address each patient's specific needs and rehabilitation goals using a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Implement and administer treatments that may include strengthening exercises, manual therapy, modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, and patient education.
• Regularly reassess patient progress and adapt treatment plans based on changing needs and advancements in rehabilitative care.
• Encourage patient engagement by fostering an understanding of their treatment plan and empowering them through education and motivational strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role requires a keen understanding of the diverse needs of a varied patient population, including elderly individuals, athletes, post-surgical patients, and those recovering from injuries or chronic conditions. The ideal candidate will be sensitive to the unique needs relating to each age group and health status, adapting strategies to suit their progress while ensuring exceptional therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, free from sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated expertise with a variety of manual therapy techniques and treatment modalities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, family members, and team members.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in an outpatient setting is highly desirable. Candidates with familiarity in utilizing electronic health record systems will be favored, as will those with prior experience in patient education and community outreach programs.

Compensation and Benefits
