Mind Remedy Counseling Clinic is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team, specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry. The position is primarily remote, with responsibilities conducted through our outpatient office in San Diego, California. Our salary range for this position is competitive, set between USD 80,000 and USD 105,000 annually, complemented by a generous benefits package.

Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible work setting with a remote focus, enabling our counselor to effectively reach out to clients. While most sessions will be conducted through telehealth, you'll also have the opportunity to work in person within our outpatient facilities as needed. Our standard hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential occasional evening shifts based on the scheduling needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the specific needs of each child and adolescent.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update customized treatment plans that reflect the individual’s developmental stages and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to provide effective interventions for mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers, fostering strategies that nurture a supportive and healing environment for their children.

• Collaborate with our child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, comprehensive care for every patient.

• Provide crisis intervention to support children and adolescents during mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources.

• Maintain precise, confidential documentation to comply with both legal and ethical standards.

• Engage actively in team meetings, peer consultations, and continual professional development initiatives.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents who are grappling with various mental health challenges, ranging from mild interpersonal conflict to severe clinical disorders. Your efforts will directly contribute to improved mental health outcomes and overall quality of life for young patients and their families. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid professional licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Comprehensive understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with practical experience in evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Demonstrable expertise in providing both individual and family therapy for young clients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a strong emphasis on a compassionate and child-centered approach to care.

• Capability to establish rapport and cultivate trust with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant technology applications.
\n
• Proven ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of clinical experience working directly with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive compensation package that ranges from USD 80,000 to USD 105,000 per year, along with the possibility of performance-based bonuses. In addition, a sign-on bonus may also be provided.
