The Health Disorder Mental and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team remotely, specializing in child and adolescent care. Work Environment\n

This position offers a flexible remote working environment through our telehealth platform. You will have the freedom to schedule your therapeutic sessions and assessments within a structured work week of Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasionally, you may need to accommodate evening shifts based on patient requirements. This setup allows for a greater work-life balance while maintaining a strong focus on client care.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to determine their specific needs.

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that address developmental, familial, and cultural aspects of each child.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to enhance mental health for children facing issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitating family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers to support their child effectively.

• Collaborating with child psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care that addresses the complexity of each case.

• Providing crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educating families on mental health issues and available community resources to foster informed decision-making.

• Maintaining meticulous, confidential patient documentation in line with ethical standards.

• Participating in regular team meetings and case discussions to ensure continuous improvement in care delivery.

• Staying current with research, best practices, and innovations within the field of child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and various behavioral issues. Your expertise will play a crucial role in guiding these young clients through their mental health journeys, fostering resilience, and promoting positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Licensed Psychologist in the state of New York.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on compassion and a child-centered approach.

• Adeptness at building trust and rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience, with a focus on child and adolescent populations preferred.
