Work Environment

This full-time position will be held onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Tenafly, New Jersey. The center features modern rehabilitation equipment and comfortable treatment areas, designed to maximize patient experience and recovery outcomes. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nursing staff, and administrative personnel, to ensure a seamless patient care process. Our typical work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a balanced work schedule for our employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities to create personalized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and techniques that enhance flexibility, strength, and overall mobility.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy methods to alleviate patients' pain and discomfort effectively.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
• Modify and update treatment plans based on ongoing assessments, striving for optimal recovery results.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to coordinate patient referrals and follow-up appointments, streamlining care transitions.
• Educate patients and caregivers on self-management and home exercise programs to reinforce rehabilitation gains.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily focusing on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including those who have undergone surgeries, injuries, or suffer from chronic musculoskeletal issues. Our patient volume typically includes two patients per hour, allowing you to provide in-depth care and attention to each individual. This role is vital in empowering patients by educating them on their conditions and rehabilitation processes to encourage active participation in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, maintaining good standing with regulatory bodies.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably within an orthopedic outpatient facility.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and their application in treatment protocols.
• Familiarity with EMR software, specifically WebPT, is essential for efficient documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in working with post-operative orthopedic patients and knowledge of typical recovery protocols.
• Skill in engaging patients in their rehabilitation process through effective communication and motivational techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The position comes with an attractive annual salary range of $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
