Key Responsibilities

As a Geriatric Physical Therapist at Gotham Enterprises Ltd, your responsibilities will include:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify their physical therapy needs and set personalized treatment goals.
• Implement evidence-based treatment interventions that focus on restoring motion, improving strength, and enhancing functional mobility.
• Educate patients and their families about exercises and home safety strategies to facilitate recovery.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient care services and progress accurately in our electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to create a cohesive care strategy, ensuring comprehensive support for each patient.
• Offer motivation and encouragement during treatment sessions to foster a positive rehabilitation experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position specifically focuses on serving the geriatric population, typically aged 65 and older. Our residents often have diverse needs, ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to mobility challenges due to age-related conditions. You will be instrumental in developing specialized care plans that accommodate the unique circumstances and aspirations of each patient, emphasizing personalized interventions that lead to functional improvements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license to practice in the state of Virginia.
• A solid understanding of geriatrics and rehabilitation practices.

Compensation and Benefits
