Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, initiating the diagnostic process that informs treatment pathways.

• Document client cases meticulously from the initial consultation to end of treatment, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and best practices.

• Design and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups, using evidence-based methodologies.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing techniques that encourage active participation and emotional resilience.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting intervention strategies as warranted to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a range of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Serve as a resource for client referrals, guiding individuals to additional support services when necessary.
\n
• Educate and assist family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges and promoting supportive home environments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this position, you will work with a broad spectrum of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, who are experiencing various mental health conditions. These may include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in helping clients not only to understand their mental health challenges but also to develop strategies and skills to overcome them.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a mental health professional (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R) in the state of New York.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage and document client records efficiently.

• Strong foundational knowledge of physical and emotional health conditions, addiction issues, and therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in a mental health counseling role, showcasing a proven track record of effective interventions.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

• In-depth knowledge regarding the effects of mental health medications, particularly those prescribed by medical specialists, as part of an integrated treatment plan.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, accompanied by a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
