Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders to identify their needs and define attainable goals.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual's unique circumstances.

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions employing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to facilitate meaningful change.

• Lead group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing peer support and building a sense of community among participants in recovery.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care for every patient.

• Deliver crisis intervention services and support during emergencies related to substance use, offering immediate assistance and connecting clients to additional resources as needed.

• Educate clients and their families about addiction, treatment options, recovery strategies, and local support services to foster understanding and engagement.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals grappling with substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring mental health issues. You will work with a diverse population reflecting the community's demographics, providing culturally competent care tailored to each individual's circumstances. By addressing both the psychological and emotional aspects of recovery, you will help clients navigate the recovery process effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.

• Strong understanding of substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented practices.

• Proven experience delivering both individual and group therapy in the context of substance use treatment.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to counseling.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n
