Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, offering flexibility while maintaining strong team connectivity through virtual meetings and collaboration tools. You will work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate our patients' needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the specific needs and challenges faced by older adults, employing various assessment tools and methodologies.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that are sensitive to cognitive changes, physical health considerations, and the social context of each patient.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including both individual and family therapy, ensuring that therapeutic practices align with the needs of geriatric patients.

• Work closely with geriatric psychiatrists and other members of the health care team to coordinate integrated services and ensure holistic patient care.

• Deliver crisis intervention and immediate support to elderly patients experiencing mental health emergencies, employing rapid assessment and intervention strategies.

• Educate patients and their support networks about mental health challenges, treatment pathways, and available resources within the community.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of patient interactions, assessment outcomes, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest research and best practices in geriatric mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve the geriatric population, addressing a diverse range of psychiatric conditions. This includes working with patients struggling with age-related issues, mental health disorders, and those facing transitions in life, such as bereavement or significant health changes. Your role is pivotal in fostering a supportive and understanding atmosphere wherein elderly clients feel safe and empowered to address their mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on geriatric populations.

• Strong understanding of geriatric mental health disorders, including evidence-based treatment modalities suitable for older adults.

• Prior experience delivering therapeutic services to older adults and their families.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a patient-centered, empathetic approach.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with elderly clients and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with relevant computer applications.

• Capability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
