Position Overview

Mindful Journeys Therapy is actively seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW) to join our dedicated team. This role is fully remote and offers the unique opportunity to provide therapy to clients in a school setting, impacting young lives positively. As a counselor, you will be responsible for helping clients navigate their mental health challenges, including but not limited to trauma, anxiety, and depression, through evidence-based therapies and comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments that utilize evidence-based practices, leading to the development of personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), creating an environment where clients can grow and find renewed hope.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations, safeguarding client confidentiality and demonstrating professionalism.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, attending case consultations and peer review meetings to contribute to the collective knowledge and effectiveness of our practice.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, equipping them with tools to understand and manage their situations effectively.
• Continuously update your knowledge of the latest research in mental health to ensure the delivery of the most effective therapeutic care possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary client population will include children and adolescents within school settings, allowing for early intervention and support for those facing mental health challenges. Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution, showcasing your dedication to mental health.
• An active and valid license in New York to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
