Our practice thrives in a collaborative outpatient setting where mental health and medical professionals work hand-in-hand. As part of our integrated care team, you will harness the collective expertise of psychiatrists, physicians, and therapists to deliver seamless care to our patients. While based in beautiful San Diego, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, with occasional in-office collaboration meetings and patient interactions as needed. Your work hours will primarily be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments, factoring in the impact of co-occurring medical conditions on patients' mental well-being.

• Formulate and implement integrated treatment plans that effectively address the psychiatric and medical needs of your clients.

• Provide personalized individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.

• Collaborate with medical providers to ensure continuity of care, sharing insights to support effective treatment outcomes.

• Respond to crisis situations by providing critical intervention and support during mental health emergencies.

• Ensure precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with diverse adult patients experiencing a range of mental health issues compounded by medical conditions. This includes individuals with chronic pain syndromes, those managing autoimmune diseases, and patients with substance use disorders. Your focus will be on providing effective strategies for managing their conditions and improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Expertise in addressing the mental health needs of patients with simultaneous medical challenges.
\n
• Experience in integrated care settings and a proven track record of collaborating with medical professionals.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
\n
• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency with record-keeping tools.

• A collaborative spirit with a strong willingness to function as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience as a Mental Health Counselor or in a similar role.

• Demonstrated success in treating individuals with dual diagnoses.

Compensation and Benefits\n
