Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and guide their treatment plans.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies that focus on promoting recovery and resilience in patients affected by traumatic events.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to individual patient needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to provide a safe space for patients to process their trauma, learn coping strategies, and promote their mental health.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, integrated care, enhancing patient outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention for patients experiencing acute trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and resources.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, resilience-building techniques, and community resources available for additional support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation to comply with ethical and legal standards, ensuring patient information integrity.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Remain abreast of current research and literature in the field of trauma therapy to inform practice and enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve at Life Edge Behavioral Health Center include individuals and families affected by trauma, such as those grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your work will directly support these clients as they navigate their recovery journeys, apply coping strategies, and rebuild their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia is essential.
\n
• At least two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in trauma-focused practice.
\n
• Thorough knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications for effective documentation.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to care.
