Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of Cypress, Florida, our clinic provides a supportive and collaborative onsite work environment. As a Physical Therapist in our home care division, you will work closely with clients in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being while employing a range of therapeutic interventions. Your role will involve direct interaction with clients and their families, where you will develop meaningful connections that foster trust and enhance the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function based on physicians' prescribed care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities, employing diagnostic tests to assess their physical status.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective execution of care plans and high standards of patient care.
• Evaluate the home environment and make recommendations to optimize the rehabilitation opportunities for clients, fostering their independence and mobility.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises, supervise non-manual exercises, and motivate clients during functional activities, tailoring these practices to their specific needs.
• Conduct evaluations, fittings, and adjustments of prosthetic and orthotic devices as necessary, advocating for modifications and improvements to enhance client outcomes.
• Prepare detailed clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with OASIS and other regulatory standards.
• Engage actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and collaborating on comprehensive treatment plans for your clients.
• Provide continual education to clients and their families about physical therapy devices and rehabilitation techniques to ensure successful home programs.
• Maintain open lines of communication with physicians, Case Managers, and other healthcare professionals to adjust care plans as the client's condition evolves.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily supports clients with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, chronic pain syndromes, and mobility impairments. You will engage with a diverse patient population comprising individuals of varying ages and backgrounds, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Your approach will center on creating customized and effective treatment plans that aim for optimal functional recovery.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Possess a valid and current Physical Therapy licensure in good standing in the state of Florida.
• Hold a current CPR certification to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and quality patient care.
• Exhibit outstanding interpersonal communication skills, actively engaging clients and their families to promote therapy adherence and positive outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year's experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an acute care or home care setting.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is highly desirable and will enhance your qualifications.
• Experience with regulatory compliance in physical therapy practices, especially in home settings.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
