Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Prairie Lakes PT Services, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of essential tasks, including:

• Directing patient therapy to prevent disabilities, relieve pain, and restore muscle function, ensuring adherence to each client's individualized plan of care.
• Evaluating clients' functional abilities through detailed assessments, including diagnostic and prognostic tests to tailor treatment effectively.
• Administering therapeutic exercises and engaging clients in non-manual activities to promote improved function and independence.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants, providing guidance and ensuring implementation of therapy plans according to state law.
• Observing and documenting clients' progress, reporting any changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team.
• Creating and maintaining thorough clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborating with healthcare colleagues during case conferences to optimize treatment strategies for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid and up-to-date PT licensure in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license.

• Exceptional communication skills, fostering effective interactions with clients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly in an acute care or home care setting, is required, candidates with knowledge in orthopedic rehabilitation and protocols will be highly valued. Familiarity with electronic healthcare records (EHR) systems is also preferred, as it will enhance your ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits
