Work Environment

This full-time position offers an onsite work setting at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Fort Lauderdale. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations to recognize and fulfill the objectives and requirements of each patient.
• Maintain a patient load that allows for personalized attention, typically evaluating and treating one patient per hour.
• Administer cost-effective physical therapy interventions that aim to enhance clients' range of motion and overall mobility.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, incorporating various therapeutic techniques.
• Minimize the reliance on medication by promoting non-surgical alternatives and implementing effective rehabilitative strategies.
• Design customized fitness and wellness programs based on thorough assessments of each patient.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care, monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed.
• Document services rendered to patients accurately and in compliance with organizational standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient management and optimal outcomes.
• Motivate and educate patients, fostering a commitment to their rehabilitation goals and a healthy lifestyle.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes regularly, maintaining effective communication with patients and team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your focus will be on restoring functional movement, improving strength, and promoting overall wellness through personalized therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Master's degree (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• No record of board or disciplinary actions on your physical therapy license.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and knowledgeable in implementing exercise programming.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred.
• Proven track record in successfully aiding patients through rehabilitation processes.

Compensation and Benefits
