Work Environment\n

Our position is remote, offering flexibility while ensuring that you can effectively connect with patients and collaborate with your colleagues in a professional setting. You will typically work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required to meet the needs of our elderly clients. Working in a community-focused environment, you will have the opportunity to approach mental health care holistically, engaging with an interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the elderly demographic, identifying specific needs, challenges, and treatment goals.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that consider the physical and cognitive changes in older adults, as well as environmental and social factors.

• Provide therapeutic interventions that include evidence-based individual and family therapy, ensuring that treatment aligns with patients’ needs and preferences.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate integrated, patient-centered care across disciplines.

• Assist in crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, providing immediate support and guidance to elderly individuals in distress.

• Educate patients and their family members about mental health conditions and available community resources, fostering understanding and support networks.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to continually improve your practice and enhance team collaboration.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of California.

• Strong knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with elderly clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD $100,000 – $120,000 annually, reflecting your expertise and contributions to our team.
