Key Responsibilities

As our Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ psychosocial needs related to their substance use and recovery journey, taking into account emotional, mental, and social aspects.
• Collaborating closely with clients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their recovery goals and preferences, ensuring a client-centered approach.
• Providing therapeutic counseling and emotional support during sessions via video conferencing, helping clients address their addiction challenges and life transitions.
• Acting as an advocate for clients, helping them navigate access to community resources and social services that enhance their recovery journey.
• Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and addiction specialists, to create a cohesive care approach that focuses on the individual’s overall health.
• Conducting regular follow-up sessions to monitor client progress, address concerns and ensure the effectiveness of the treatment plan, adapting as necessary.
• Facilitating communication and resolving conflicts among clients and family members to enhance their support systems during recovery.
• Educating clients and their loved ones about available support programs and resources that promote long-term recovery and social engagement.
• Maintaining accurate, timely, and up-to-date client records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in our EHR system.
• Staying current with trends in social work practices, ethical standards, and regulations to provide the most effective service possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus primarily on clients undergoing detoxification from substance use disorders. You will engage with a diverse population, addressing their individual needs, fears, and challenges as they embark on their recovery journey. Your role is crucial in reducing barriers to treatment and helping clients reintegrate into their communities.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in social work, preferably within a detox, rehabilitation, or substance use treatment setting.
• In-depth knowledge of addiction, recovery processes, and the resources available for support.
• Exceptional assessment, counseling, and interpersonal skills, particularly with clients facing addiction issues.
• Strong ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and establish trust with clients.
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and other digital tools necessary for documentation and client record-keeping.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working directly with clients in crisis situations, particularly within the framework of telehealth.
• Familiarity with local and national addiction recovery resources and best practices.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining collaboration with other professionals.

Compensation and Benefits
