Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and the medical team to coordinate comprehensive mental health treatments for patients both within and outside our facility.

• Provide in-service training programs on mental health topics for medical, psychiatric, and security staff as necessary, promoting education and awareness across our institution.
\n
• Actively intervene and de-escalate mental health crises, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all individuals involved.
\n
• Represent the organization at commitment hearings when required, offering expert testimony regarding patient treatment needs.
\n
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to the unique needs of each patient, encompassing varying pathways for mental health recovery.
\n
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions, including treatment sessions, progress notes, and any relevant administrative updates.
\n
• Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in managing medical records and patient histories to protect client privacy.
\n
• Verify and document any past patient mental health histories, including the assessment of psychotropic medications previously administered.
\n
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports that reflect patient progress and treatment outcomes, aiding the medical staff in enhancing service delivery.

• Work collaboratively with nursing and mental health staff to ensure seamless referrals and support for patients post-release.

Qualifications\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
