Work Environment

The position is full-time and based onsite, emphasizing face-to-face interactions with patients in their homes. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, aimed at preventing disability and relieving pain.
• Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants in executing treatment plans, ensuring high standards of care.
• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients' physical abilities through diagnostic tests to determine functional performance.
• Assess home environments for rehabilitation suitability and suggest modifications that enhance patient independence.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises, guiding and instructing patients through both non-manual exercises and functional activities to aid recovery.
• Provide treatments that include traction, massage, and modalities utilizing various physical agents, carefully monitoring patient responses.
• Evaluate, fit, and recommend adjustments for prosthetic and orthotic devices, consulting with physicians as necessary.
• Document clinical records meticulously, encompassing initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to maintain comprehensive care records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to evaluate and adjust holistic treatment plans in accordance with team objectives.
• Regularly communicate with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, device usage, and overall physical therapy programs.
• Complete on-site functional assessments to refine care plans and utilize community resources effectively.
• Take part in ongoing professional development and adhere to all regulatory standards for physical therapy practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will predominantly work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. This role demands a focus on tailoring rehabilitation strategies to individual patient needs, adapting approaches according to their unique challenges and goals, and offering empathetic support throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapist (DPT) from the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience specifically related to orthopedic physical therapy.
• Certification in CPR to ensure patient safety during therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in home healthcare settings is highly desirable, with a proven track record of developing effective treatment plans in patients' homes. Familiarity with the OASIS documentation is a plus, allowing for seamless integration into the existing workflows.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package.
