Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their unique needs and determine appropriate interventions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider both the developmental stages of patients and the unique dynamics of their family situations.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to deliver effective interventions, ensuring each patient receives care that is suited to their specific mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers, providing them with strategies to foster a supportive home environment for their children.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and various professionals, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for all patients, particularly in complex cases.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and responsive support during mental health emergencies related to children and adolescents.

• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, available treatments, and relevant community resources to promote informed decision-making.

• Keep accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case consultations to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.

• Stay abreast of current research developments and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance clinical knowledge and effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on children and adolescents who experience various mental health challenges. Our patients range in age from preschoolers to young adults, with needs that include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, developmental disorders, and other behavioral issues. You will work closely with patients and their families to provide compassionate, culturally competent care that empowers them on their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and proven therapeutic approaches.

• Experience providing both individual and family therapy to young clients is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a dedication to fostering a child-centered, compassionate approach in every interaction.

• Adept at establishing trust and rapport with children, adolescents, and their families, creating a safe space for healing.

• Competence in using electronic health record systems and other relevant technology to manage patient data.

• Effective collaboration skills to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with at least two years of post-graduate experience in a clinical setting, particularly focusing on children and adolescents. Demonstrated success in developing and managing treatment plans and experience working within a telehealth framework would be highly advantageous. A background in crisis intervention strategies would also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
