The Pro Health Cardiology and Consulting Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team in beautiful Saint Petersburg, Florida. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our hospital facility, where you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and support staff. The work schedule involves Monday to Friday shifts, totaling 40 hours per week, with the shift beginning at 5:00 PM. This allows our team to manage patient care effectively in an urgent care setting where timely decisions can significantly impact patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations, take patient histories, and accurately review medical records to assess health conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and X-rays, to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute health issues such as respiratory infections, minor injuries, and other urgent medical concerns.
• Develop and execute tailored treatment plans for chronic diseases, ensuring continuity of care.
• Prescribe medications, monitor treatment effectiveness, and adjust medications as necessary to optimize patient health.
• Maintain meticulous and organized patient records through our electronic health record system.
• Provide health education to patients and their families about managing conditions, preventing illnesses, and understanding treatment protocols.
• Monitor and promote overall wellness, making referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and research initiatives to enhance personal and organizational effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Urgent Care department serves a diverse mix of patients, including families with children, active adults, and elderly individuals seeking immediate medical attention. Our team is trained to address a wide array of urgent health issues, emphasizing a compassionate and thorough approach to care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• Valid State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) and a current DEA number.
• Experience in an urgent care, emergency room, or hospital setting is essential, showcasing a proficiency in acute care practices.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and patient care protocols.
• Exceptional communication skills enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to ethical practices and patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in primary care, urgent care, or hospital medicine.
• Bilingual skills are advantageous but are not a requirement.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers an attractive salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Our benefits include:
