Work Environment

This position is fully remote, utilizing telehealth technology to connect therapists with clients in the comfort of their homes. As part of our dynamic outpatient psychiatry practice, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, ensuring that all clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that respect cultural nuances, enabling you to formulate personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies to provide effective interventions that resonate with individual patients, while considering personal and cultural factors.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing mental health concerns and equipping clients with tools for resilience and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams during case conferences and team meetings, discussing treatment plans and ensuring synchronicity across care providers.
• Offer prompt crisis intervention and supportive measures when patients face mental health emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment strategies, and available community services, empowering them to take charge of their wellness.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation to meet legal, ethical, and organizational standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for optimal record-keeping.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions focused on cultural competency and mental health best practices, continuously enhancing your skill set.
• Stay updated on current research relevant to mental health treatment and cultural considerations, thereby enriching your approaches in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on vulnerable populations, including those from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ+ clients, and immigrant families, all of whom may face unique societal challenges and stigmas. By engaging compassionately with these individuals, you’ll help foster their mental health journey, promoting understanding, acceptance, and healing through an inclusive therapeutic approach.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Must hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (LIMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the state of Nevada.
• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based therapeutic approaches is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering traditional and culturally responsive therapy, both individually and in groups.
• Strong capabilities in crisis intervention, with a proven capacity to maintain composure in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication skills, complemented by the ability to build rapport and connect with diverse individuals.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology to document patient interactions.
• Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and the maintenance of professional boundaries.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, valuing the contributions of all team members to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
