Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories, including their trauma experiences, to determine appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and execute customized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and resilience enhancement, taking into account each patient's unique background and needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patients in processing their trauma.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients develop coping mechanisms, process complex emotions, and promote overall healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, enhancing treatment outcomes.
\n
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, prevention strategies, and available community resources to bolster their understanding and empowerment.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards within our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and share insights on best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by trauma, including those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Understanding the nuanced experiences of these survivors is crucial in providing effective therapeutic support. You will work closely with patients to help them address their mental health needs and achieve recovery goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with remote therapy technologies.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, preferably with a focus on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
