Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position in Home Care

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team at Sutter Physical Therapy, Inc. in Howell, New Jersey. The starting salary for this role ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily onsite within the patients' homes, allowing for tailored care in familiar settings. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their needs, challenges, and rehabilitation goals, utilizing standardized evaluation tools and methods.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations, physician directives, and changing needs, modifying plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Deliver orthopedic physical therapy sessions using evidence-based practices, including but not limited to therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Document patient progress in compliance with legal and insurance requirements, providing clear, concise communication within the patient's medical records.
• Engage in ongoing education with patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, injury prevention strategies, and effective self-care techniques to foster independence.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other therapists in setting goals for patient rehabilitation and achieving efficient care continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is the orthopedic patient population, which includes individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, sports-related issues, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with patients across various age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, all benefiting from personalized therapy aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and overall wellness.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Current and valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong clinical competency in evaluating and treating orthopedic conditions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that enhance your interactions with patients and their families.
• Proficient in documenting assessments, treatment progress, and patient outcomes clearly and accurately.

Preferred Experience

• 2 years of experience in a clinical setting specializing in orthopedic physical therapy, preferably in home health.
• Exposure to contemporary rehabilitation techniques and ongoing training in specialized areas of treatment.
• Experience with therapeutic modalities and an understanding of the latest in physical therapy technology.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $130,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
