Work Environment

This role is designed for an onsite physical therapist who will engage directly with patients in their home environment. Our typical working hours are 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a structured yet flexible work schedule tailored to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical needs and develop customized treatment plans aimed at achieving their individual health goals.
• Administer hands-on therapeutic interventions and exercises, focusing on restoring movement and improving overall function.
• Utilize cost-effective, evidence-based treatment modalities to enhance patients' mobility and reduce the need for surgical interventions or medications.
• Maintain a manageable caseload to ensure that each patient receives ample time and attention during their treatment sessions.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment sessions accurately within our electronic medical records (EMR) system, specifically utilizing WebPT software.
• Actively participate in team meetings to provide insights and collaborate on patient care strategies with fellow healthcare professionals.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
• Develop and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs that promote sustained recovery and long-term health.
• Keep abreast of the latest research and advancements in physical therapy to provide the highest level of care to our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a wide range of patients across various demographics, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, elderly patients needing rehabilitation after surgery or falls, and individuals managing chronic conditions affecting their mobility. As a physical therapist, your role is crucial in empowering these patients to regain independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia is essential.
• Demonstrated proficiency in several manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of orthopedic outpatient care is preferred.
• Experience using EMR software, particularly WebPT, for precise patient documentation.
• Ability to formulate and implement effective exercise programs tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• A commitment to continuing education and staying updated with the latest research in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in home health care or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with non-surgical rehabilitation techniques and alternative treatment options to enhance patient outcomes.
• Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This rewarding position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
