Work Environment

This position is available at our Sunnyvale outpatient office, which is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technology and equipment to support effective treatment. As an orthopedic outpatient practice, we foster a dynamic atmosphere that encourages teamwork among two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving specific functional goals.
• Deliver one-on-one patient care focusing on evidence-based practices, ensuring the highest standards of treatment effectiveness.
• Adhere to a structured patient schedule, efficiently managing approximately one patient per hour, while adapting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to enhance patient outcomes.
• Document each patient encounter meticulously, tracking progress and modifying treatments as necessary to maximize results.
• Provide education and motivation to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation techniques and lifestyle modifications that promote recovery and health maintenance.
• Engage in collaborative discussions with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to create holistic care approaches.
• Monitor and assess the efficacy of treatment plans, delivering timely adjustments based on patient feedback and clinical observations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice is patients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation. This includes individuals post-surgery and those suffering from sports-related injuries, chronic pain, or mobility impairments. We emphasize promoting independence and functionality, working diligently to enable patients to return to their daily lifestyles and activities. Our typical patient demographic includes adults and seniors with varying levels of physical ability, who rely on our expertise to guide them through their recovery processes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current California licensure as a Physical Therapist with no disciplinary actions. A clean professional record is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of orthopedic conditions and treatment modalities.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation setting, preferably engaging in one-on-one patient modalities.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and crafting personalized exercise programs based on individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly WebPT, to manage patient documentation and scheduling effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
