Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their need for orthopedic physical therapy, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with physician directives, agency policy, and established professional standards.
• Deliver high-quality hands-on treatment to patients, focusing on a range of modalities that promote recovery, mobility, and overall function.
• Educate patients and their families on in-home treatment options and exercises to enhance their rehabilitation efforts and ensure continuity of care.
• Provide support in the prevention and treatment of functional disorders through tailored therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and update medical records to ensure clear communication with other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on orthopedics, treating patients recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. By employing a patient-centered approach, you will engage with individuals of all ages, assisting them in overcoming physical limitations and enhancing their quality of life. Your work will directly contribute to our patients' recovery, fostering stronger connections with our local community.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Current certifications in First Aid, AED, and CPR.
• Proficiency in using therapy equipment and electronic medical record systems, coupled with strong word processing skills.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is three years of experience, preferred candidates will have a background in treating a diverse range of orthopedic conditions and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and their families. Experience with rehabilitation technologies and methodologies will be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits
