Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to gather comprehensive insights into the emotional and behavioral health of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are tailored to clients' developmental stages, family situations, and specific mental health challenges.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a diverse range of mental health issues, ensuring a constructive and empowering approach to treatment.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with strategies to nurture a supportive environment conducive to healing.

• Engage in crisis intervention, providing immediate support during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents, to stabilize and guide them towards recovery.

• Educate both patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources to empower informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations, as well as engage in continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills.

• Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to integrate innovative approaches into your work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position emphasizes working with children and adolescents facing various psychological challenges, with a core focus on fostering resilience and effective coping mechanisms. As our ideal candidate, you will be skilled in establishing rapport with young clients, understanding their unique developmental needs, and integrating family dynamics into treatment plans for optimal outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• Strong expertise in child and adolescent mental health diagnoses, demonstrating proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience in delivering effective individual and family therapy to young clients, showcasing a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and build rapport with clients and their families.

• Familiarity with using electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications to enhance therapeutic efficacy.

• A collaborative mindset that contributes positively to a multidisciplinary team environment and treatment planning processes.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will possess at least two years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, specifically focused on child and adolescent populations. Experience in a community health or outpatient setting, as well as familiarity with family therapy techniques, will be looked upon favorably.

Compensation and Benefits\n
