Work Environment

The role is centered in our spacious and well-equipped Rehabilitation Center, where you will provide hands-on therapy in an onsite setting. Working full-time, from Monday to Friday (9 am to 5 pm), you will not only focus on patient recovery but also collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations, ensuring compliance with state standards and best practices.
• Assess patients' mobility, strength, and functional capabilities, setting realistic, individualized goals for recovery.
• Create comprehensive Plans of Treatment that include tailored exercises and therapeutic procedures based on thorough evaluations.
• Implement treatment plans consistently, adjusting techniques and scheduling based upon measurable patient progress and setbacks.
• Document patient outcomes in accordance with medical and facility regulations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain professional growth by participating in educational workshops and staying current with professional publications.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to maintain a clean and efficient treatment environment that enhances the rehabilitation experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at PT Plus, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical repairs, and chronic conditions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping these individuals regain mobility and independence, from young athletes to older adults with age-related deterioration.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Hold a valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (including AED training) is required.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing effective physical therapy treatments to diverse patient demographics.
• Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based practices and innovative treatment techniques.
• A compassionate approach to patient motivation and the ability to encourage patients to reach their recovery goals safely.
• Familiarity with mobility and rehabilitation equipment, understanding preventative maintenance practices.

Compensation and Benefits
