Work Environment

This role is primarily located in our outpatient office in Los Angeles, where we welcome a diverse patient population seeking rehabilitation services largely covered by private medical insurance. You will be part of a close-knit team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all dedicated to delivering exceptional care in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' needs and establish personalized treatment plans aimed at rehabilitation and recovery.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions, efficiently managing a patient load of approximately one patient per hour.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to enhance patients' mobility and endurance.
• Incorporate cost-effective strategies to minimize the reliance on medications and avoid surgical interventions where possible.
• Create individualized fitness and wellness programs that align with each patient's specific goals and capabilities.
• Document treatment plans and outcomes meticulously, ensuring compliance with medical standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated approach to patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, reinforcing the importance of adherence to therapy protocols and lifestyle modifications.
• Continuously assess the progress of patients, adjusting treatments as needed based on their evolving needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice is post-operative orthopedic patients and individuals seeking rehabilitation for musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with patients who have undergone surgeries related to joint replacements, sports injuries, and chronic pain, guiding them in regaining strength, flexibility, and overall functionality.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California, in good standing with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Demonstrated competency in manual therapy techniques and the development of therapeutic exercise plans.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is advantageous.
• A strong foundation in evidence-based practice to ensure patients receive the most effective therapy protocols.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
