Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to determine their physical therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to optimize recovery.
• Educate patients on their conditions and therapeutic options, set clear therapeutic goals, and provide them with strategies to achieve and maintain their functional independence.
• Track patient progress meticulously by documenting treatments, responses, and updates to therapeutic goals within our electronic medical records system.
• Regularly reassess treatment effectiveness, make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, and involve patients in their care processes.
• Offer guidance on the use of assistive devices and recommend equipment that enhances self-care and mobility.
• Provide training for patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge to support the patient's recovery.
• Participate in continuous education workshops and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry standards and advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The role primarily focuses on serving adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic orthopedic conditions. Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Valid state licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia.

• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
