Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist working with us, you will primarily operate in patients' homes, creating a flexible and engaging environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in home care settings, determining their specific rehabilitation needs and developing tailored treatment plans.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, including exercise regimens, manual therapy, and specialized equipment to optimize pain relief and enhance mobility.
• Work collaboratively with patients to set realistic therapeutic goals, regularly reviewing and adjusting treatment strategies based on their progress and feedback.
• Document all treatment sessions and outcomes diligently, maintaining accurate records to support ongoing patient care and insurance needs.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families on therapy procedures, assistive devices, and self-care strategies to promote independence.
• Stay current with industry best practices and developments through continuous professional education, attending workshops, and engaging with professional communities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a diverse patient population, focusing predominantly on individuals recovering from orthopedic issues, such as joint replacements, fractures, and chronic pain conditions. The ability to build rapport with patients and tailor treatments to their unique challenges is crucial for fostering successful rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health care or a mixed environment of outpatient and home health settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation processes relevant to home care therapy.
