Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Millennial Counseling Centre, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine suitable treatment strategies.

• Developing individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and resilience-building, tailored to each patient's unique needs.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions focused on helping patients process trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and encourage healing.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and various health professionals to ensure cohesive and integrated care for all patients.
\n
• Providing timely crisis intervention and support to patients facing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participating in case discussions, team meetings, and training sessions that emphasize trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on those affected by trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and other significant life events. You will work closely with individuals dealing specifically with post-traumatic stress disorder, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The diverse backgrounds and experiences of our clients further enrich your therapeutic journey, allowing for profound and impactful engagement.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
\n
• Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions, particularly in a telehealth setting.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate disposition and a commitment to non-judgmental practice.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, the following experiences will be viewed favorably:

• A minimum of two years post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
