The salary for this role ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' past traumas and needs, designing suitable treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery that promote healing and resilience.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide therapeutic practices.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering discussions that allow clients to process trauma and develop vital coping strategies.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to offer integrated care for patients, ensuring comprehensive treatment experiences.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive timely and effective support.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, coping mechanisms, and available resources to deepen their understanding and support their recovery.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient information.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and case consultation opportunities to stay updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals affected by various types of trauma. This includes but is not limited to survivors of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, those experiencing PTSD, and individuals with complex trauma histories. Your expertise will help clients navigate their journeys to healing, fostering resilience and hope as they work through their traumatic experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of California.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exuding a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor in all interactions.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining patient records and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on trauma-informed care preferred.

• Previous experience successfully implementing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.

• Proven ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations, effectively managing crises and client reactions.
