Work Environment\n

This role is performed in a remote setting, allowing mental health therapists the flexibility to manage their schedules while effectively providing care to clients. Serene Mind Therapy operates a community health clinic with extended hours from Monday to Saturday, enabling us to accommodate clients’ varying schedules. You will benefit from in-house credentialing, as well as administrative support for your insurance participation and schedule management, so you can focus wholly on providing exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of individuals and families, creating comprehensive treatment plans based on their unique needs and circumstances.

• Perform initial evaluations and triage care to ensure appropriate intervention is provided promptly based on client needs.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, sharing insights during patient rounds and documenting treatment plans to streamline care coordination.
\n
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment while addressing the emotional, social, and educational needs of patients, and ensuring their safety at all times.
\n
• Provide case management for assigned clients, involving consultations with healthcare professionals and community programs to facilitate holistic treatment.
\n
• Deliver timely and accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with departmental standards and enhancing the quality of care provided.

• Implement evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to address symptoms and promote positive outcomes in patients' mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients served by Serene Mind Therapy include individuals, adolescents, and families dealing with various mental health challenges. As a therapist, you will work with diverse populations, offering targeted interventions to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your role will be critical in helping clients navigate their struggles, set achievable goals, and ultimately improve their mental and emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.

• A master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
\n
• Ability and willingness to work between 10 to 40 hours per week, providing flexibility in scheduling sessions with clients.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a therapeutic setting, demonstrating proficiency in providing evidence-based interventions.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, additional experience in community clinics or outpatient settings, combined with specific training in various therapeutic modalities, including mindfulness and trauma-informed care, will be considered a plus. Familiarity with the New York State mental health services landscape can enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
