Happy Body Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our growing team in Tampa, Florida. As a Licensed Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in developing individualized treatment plans to assist our patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals. Work Environment

This full-time role is conducted onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Tampa. With the flexibility to choose your own hours from Monday to Friday, you will maintain a healthy work-life balance while providing essential services to our community.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting consultations with patients to assess their physical conditions, understanding their symptoms, and collecting necessary medical histories.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction through a comprehensive physical assessment and creating customized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educating patients on therapeutic exercise techniques and guiding them on how to safely perform these exercises to improve their mobility and strength.
• Administering various treatment modalities including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation as indicated.
• Assisting patients with mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, and other equipment, ensuring they feel confident and safe during their recovery.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, tracking progress, and documenting treatment plans and outcomes to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Advising patients and their families on home-exercise programs and lifestyle modifications to optimize recovery and prevent future injuries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse patient population includes individuals recovering from surgery, those managing chronic pain, athletes rehabilitating from sports injuries, and older adults regaining strength and mobility. You will have the opportunity to work with patients across varying demographics and clinical backgrounds, providing tailored care that meets their unique recovery needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and demonstrate flexibility in managing varied patient caseloads.

Preferred Experience

While we value candidates with experience in physical therapy, we welcome applications from new graduates ready to begin their careers. However, a minimum of two years of direct patient care experience is preferred for those seeking mentorship opportunities and a more advanced clinical role.
