This role is strategically designed to be primarily remote, accommodating the needs of our therapists while ensuring they can effectively engage with families within their homes or through our outpatient office. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions and facilitate group therapy at our outpatient center, utilizing evidence-based practices to address the unique needs of clients.

• Implement targeted strategies for anger management, coping skills development, and enhancement of social skills, aiming to reduce high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior and physical aggression.

• Work collaboratively with caregivers to strengthen their decision-making capabilities and equip them with tools to effectively manage behavioral challenges at home.

• Engage in regular collaboration with other members of the Child Family Treatment Team and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each client.
\n
• Maintain thorough documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, all submitted within specified timelines.
\n
• Attend monthly team meetings, actively participating in discussions and contributing recommendations for service improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will work with primarily include children and adolescents aged 3 to 20, many of whom present with diverse needs related to intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position provides a wonderful opportunity to engage with a multicultural population, particularly benefiting bilingual therapists who speak Spanish or Portuguese, fostering an inclusive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• An active, unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Colorado is essential for this role.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours between 4 PM and 7 PM, with the flexibility to accommodate some weekend sessions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A demonstrated background in providing positive behavior support for children and adolescents is preferred.

• Experience working with individuals diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities is highly advantageous.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for conducting in-home sessions.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting, will be required prior to employment.
