Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with new clients, documenting their journeys from initial consultation through to the end of treatment.

• Utilize evidence-based methods to evaluate the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients in various contexts.

• Design individual, couple, family, and group intervention strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs and challenges.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic modalities that may include cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, and psychoeducation.

• Monitor client progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on clinical observations and client feedback.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, physicians, social workers, and other mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care efforts.

• Attend follow-up appointments with healthcare providers for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring seamless integration of care.

• Identify and address behavioral patterns that may hinder recovery, implementing preventative measures to foster a supportive environment for clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid professional license (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) issued by the state of California.

• A strong standing, evidenced by passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven track record of successful counseling experience in a mental health setting.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for documentation and treatment planning.

• Familiarity with addressing underlying health conditions and addiction disorders, with a nuanced understanding of the interplay between physical and mental health.

• Thorough knowledge of the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an empathetic and supportive approach to client interactions.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a natural ability to connect with clients and build rapport.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with populations that have concurrent mental health and substance use disorders.

• Background in group therapy facilitation or community outreach programs.

• Prior experience using teletherapy platforms to deliver services to clients.

• Knowledge of the effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by medical professionals, allowing for better-informed treatment strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, accompanied by a sign-on bonus.
