Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Broward Physical Therapy, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing personalized physical therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs, focused on pain relief, functional improvement, and muscle restoration.
• Evaluating patients' physical capabilities through diagnostic tests and assessments of muscle, nerve, and joint functionality to set measurable recovery goals.
• Providing hands-on therapeutic treatment, including administering manual exercises, and instructing clients in both manual and non-manual activities.
• Evaluating home environments to recommend modifications that promote patient independence and safety.
• Instructing clients and their families on the use of therapeutic devices and home exercise programs to ensure continuity of care.
• Documenting all clinical interactions, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Serving as a pivotal member of the interdisciplinary care team, participating actively in case conferences and treatment planning sessions.
• Providing oversight and guidance to Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring compliance with the plan of care and adherence to best practices in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on diverse populations, including elderly patients requiring rehabilitation after surgery or chronic illness, individuals recovering from injuries, and those managing debilitating conditions. You'll be tasked with tailoring your therapeutic approach to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this role, you will need:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid state license for Physical Therapy.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance, reflecting the need for travel between patient homes.
• Exemplary communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates who possess:

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally within home care or acute care settings.
• A track record of utilizing critical thinking and judgment in clinical decision-making.

Compensation and Benefits
