Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with Baylor Physical Therapy, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, taking into account muscle strength, joint mobility, and daily functional skills.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs, tailoring techniques including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Oversee the work of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they understand and correctly execute prescribed therapy tasks in alignment with the care plan.
• Assess home environments to recommend improvements that enhance client safety and independence, making modifications as necessary for optimal rehabilitation.
• Engage in patient and family education, equipping them with knowledge about treatment approaches, the use of therapeutic devices, and strategies for ongoing health maintenance.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment strategies accordingly, documenting all findings and making recommendations for updates to the care plan in collaboration with the broader healthcare team.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review client progress and share insights that contribute to holistic care approaches.
• Provide support for Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation, such as initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries promptly and accurately, ensuring adherence to OASIS guidelines.

Preferred Experience
