Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to develop customized treatment plans.
• Administering hands-on therapeutic techniques and exercises to ensure improvement in patients' functional mobility.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care tailored to individual recovery goals.
• Implementing evidence-based practice protocols that meet and exceed clinical standards.
• Providing educational resources for patients and their families to promote understanding of treatment plans and strategies for ongoing recovery.
• Monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Documenting patient care and results in compliance with regulatory standards, software systems, and established protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, involving both surgical and non-surgical rehabilitation. This includes athletes returning to peak performance, pediatric patients needing specialized interventions, adults managing chronic pain, and seniors focused on enhancing their mobility. Your skills in patient interaction will help you establish trust and rapport, enabling effective treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster strong patient relationships.
• Proficient in electronic health record systems and documentation standards.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, candidates with specialized training in sports medicine, pediatrics, or neuro-rehabilitation will be preferred. Previous experience in leadership roles or mentoring junior staff is advantageous.
