Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Professional Counselor will assume a diverse array of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Managing a caseload of clients, where developing rapport and fostering positive working relationships are paramount. This includes maintaining professional ethics and boundaries at all times.

• Conducting regular meetings with each client to discuss progress, address concerns, and evaluate the need for future appointments or discharge plans.

• Creating, implementing, and monitoring individualized, person-centered treatment plans, ensuring each plan aligns with the client’s specific needs and goals.

• Documenting session details meticulously, including progress notes and refreshing intake assessments to maintain accurate records for every client.
\n
• Engaging in weekly individual therapy sessions focused on the unique needs of youth clients, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Participating in clinical supervision to enhance skills and receive constructive feedback, promoting continual personal and professional growth.

• Collaborating effectively with fellow healthcare providers and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care is delivered to all clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is focused primarily on serving youth clients, many of whom may be dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. As a counselor, you will utilize your expertise and empathy to create a supportive and trusting environment, allowing these young individuals to express their feelings and work toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LPC in the state of Georgia.
\n
• Able to meet internal credentialing requirements within relevant clinical environments.

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients or substance abuse populations, demonstrating hands-on clinical expertise.

• Familiarity with assessment and diagnosis processes, along with proficiency in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Basic computer skills with the ability to document and navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of one year of clinical experience is required, we encourage candidates with additional experience or specialized training in youth therapy services to apply. Skills in crisis intervention and group therapy facilitation will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
