Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of students with special needs.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that focus on mental health improvement and social integration into the school environment.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to various conditions, including ASD, ADHD, and emotional dysregulation.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to promote emotional growth, coping skills, and personal resilience among students.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, speech and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive support structures for students.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergency situations, utilizing your training to de-escalate and stabilize students in distress.

• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions, available resources, and coping strategies to strengthen support outside of therapy.

• Document all interactions, assessments, and treatment plans meticulously to adhere to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in team meetings and engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in social work.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Kansas.

Compensation and Benefits\n
